James is hopping on board with us as our latest addition to the financial advisory team. James comes from an extensive history as a business owner and entrepreneur, especially in the hospitality industry, and we are super excited to add his expertise to our team. Especially for our clients who are business owners or entrepreneurs themselves. James gets it – he's been there, done that, and we can't wait to see the fresh ideas he'll serve up. We're stoked to have him bring that wealth of experience to our crew.

Anyway, that's enough about us. Here is a bit about James, from the man himself!

Hi, I'm James, a qualified Financial Adviser with Velocity Financial.

After 28 years in the hospitality industry, many of which I spent running my own businesses, I've decided to embark on a new venture, and I began collaborating with Velocity Financial to become a qualified financial adviser.

I sought a new challenge where I could leverage the knowledge and skills I gained as a business owner to positively impact other local businesspeople.

I wanted to give back to the business community here in a way that was meaningful and that involved sharing the knowledge I had gained over the years.

As a Financial Adviser, I can see the opportunity to use the lessons I've learned (good and bad) along with the new business connections I now have through Velocity to helping others mitigate risks in their business and personal lives through proper insurance coverage and straightforward business counsel.

As a qualified Financial Adviser, I am equipped to offer professional and practical advice in life, health, and disability insurance. Meanwhile my education will continue in the realms of Investments and Mortgages with plans to add these areas to my qualification shortly.
